bipolar disorder.***

[Updated March 27, 2024]

Unfortunately, taking insurance and being in-network has not worked-out for my practice. Several companies are now many months behind in paying for my services to their clients. Therefore, I will go back to providing each client with a superbill so that they can ask their insurance company to be reimbursed, which works very well for clients. But full payments from clients will be due at the time of service. Unfortunately, it was this --- or go out of business.

Feel free to call your insurance company prior to making an appointment with me to see how much they'll reimburse you. You may need this information:

Matt’s Washington therapist license: LW61253437

Matt’s NPI: 1952886335

Mindful Mountain Therapy PLLC’s NPI: 1821788514

Cost of services, as of March 1, 2024:

  • Individual therapy, including EMDR: $175 per session

  • Letter writing, evaluation writing, court testimony*: $175/hour

  • Mental health evaluation/diagnostic session: $225 per session (usually only one session is needed)

  • Couples therapy: $250 per session

  • Family therapy: $300 per session

  • Group therapy: $25 per participant per session

* Please note: Matt does not provide testimony or written reports to any court, guardian ad litem, or government agency regarding child custody issues as it is outside the scope of Matt's training and experience.

GoodRX Health has a nice article about superbills and getting reimbursed by insurance.

You may also pay for sessions with an FSA/HSA card, which is a way to pay for therapy with pre-tax funds. Forbes has a good article talking about the differences between FSA and HSA cards. Aetna's website has a 60-second video that boils it all down, too.

I look forward to working with you!
